i am currently researching some material on what watchtower doctrine says with regards to punishments jehovah candish out to us after the thousand year reign and the final test.. my mother (a brilliant woman) always told me that if a human purposefully went against jehovah after the thousand years and the final test, jehovah would instantly put them to death.
is this true?
What it comes down to is who wrote all this stuff in the book of revealation? Its a waste of intelligents to try and make any sense out of this book. I don't think its God inspired word and that is why there is so much written about it and into it. Believe what you will as there are so many beliefs about life after death and without this book what do you have? Answer, your own reasoning and thinking ability. Think about that without the Bible to mess with your mind.

-- attendance was about the same as last year, averaging around 8000 per session.
Who actually rubberstamps these talks? The writing committe, translation committe, legal department, governing body, the society, all the above or does the right hand even know what the left hand is doing? Thanks for the update Sir.

What would Jesus do? Did he tell you to leave? Did Jah tell you to give it up and leave here? Carrying the Cross has never been an easy way of life. Long suffering and bearing the burdens of others is a life time walk. I thought you would be in it for the long haul. Has Satan gotten the upper hand here?
Take care of yourself. In the end whatever it takes truth will win out. I'm not a believer in anything that is quoted from scripture.

i definitely support science, i think that the entire field is fascinating.
the things that have been discovered and that will be discovered in the future is mind-boggling.
i do wonder, however, if there is some things that science can't explain.

Chapter one: The Nature of Life and Death. What is Man? Why is Man? How is Man? HE talks about the supernatural. The book is 758 pages long it will keep you busy for some time. Just something I put out there for you. Google it.

A serious question. If "The Ransom" was paid back in the first century, why do we have to keep asking, seeking, and knocking two thousand years later. Shouldn't mankind have been released from Adam and Eve's passed on punishment since being put out of the garden of Eden so swiftly after the fall. Why not equal balance and swiftly re-enter mankind back to the state things were before The fall. Does not the ransom require immeadiate release upon the payment made by Jesus.
God acted swiftly back then. Why the two thousand year delay of untold suffering for all creation when the suffering of the Christ paid the price for our release back then so long ago.

i am just curious about this because although i agree with many of the posters here that the wt society is guilty of many horrible deeds, i still believe they are right when it comes to doctrinal things as i mention.
especially hellfire.
i just don't see how anybody that has studied the bible for many years like many of the ex-jws here can make an about face and go back to believing hellfire.

alan'swife, julie, talked to the cardiologist this morning.
the news about alan's heart is good.
he described the heart attack as mild and said that although there is damage to the lower portion of his heart, the pumping action probably won't be affected much.
Yes it was AlanF and his clear thinking, sound logic, and critical skill that taught me so much here and on the old sites that we use to post on. His essay on the Ranson can't be disputed. Alan! I just had my aortic valve replaced with a new Bovine valve on June 21. At 67years young. I'm doing well so far. All the best to you and yours.

four day stay in the hospital was the plan,however, i caught a body rash and had to be held over for four more days.

Well, I got a brand new Bovine valve, June 21 was the date. Three hour surgery,no other problems. Four day stay in the hospital was the plan,however, I caught a body rash and had to be held over for four more days. I'm home now,three to four weeks in home rehab.Then about two to three weeks out patient cardiac rehab. Back to work in ten weeks. I feel very good that this is now behind me. Its been going on for about ten years when I first joined the site. My aortic Valve was close to critical and I had from sudden death to two years to live. Now I have a new least on life. I am grateful for all the support from the friends here ove the years. 67 years young.

i was looking over the upcoming september 15 watchtower study article where it says that in 1919, something woke (the anointed) up!
jesus had come to inspect all those who called themselves christians.
some of the anointed did not pass this inspection.. but as many of us know, none of the anointed would have passed an inspection of the 48 teachings that are mentioned in chapter 3 of captives of a concept.. for example: according to the proclaimers book, none of the anointed woke up to jesus invisible presence beginning in 1914 until 1943 - 24 years after jesus inspection was over.
Captives of a Concept is the best explanation I have read so far for it's clear and concise proofs that all JW's are captives to the concept of two major thoughts. 1) The most important date in it's history and 2) The most important event in it's history.
Those who have a history test of the Watchtower Society before having a Bible study with JW's will never become JW's.
The answer to your question Don is there was no such inspection.
